So here's the challenge in the premise I'm trying to sell in this discussion if you will. Many organizations have difficulty justifying the whole idea of having full time project managers. We're not talking about the concept of having business analysts and project managers and change managers. And I still think that's appropriate because, as we talked about, there's an emphasis on different competencies in that exercise. However, when you have hand offs that are very apparent, not only do you have difficulties with the perception of throwing things over the wall, right? And, and the, the typical problems that occur with that because you've got misunderstandings and, and things ultimately can get delayed.
You're also showing your weakness to the senior leaders in the organization that are going to have the perception potentially that, wait a minute. We're, we're investing in project managers, but that's not enough now? We've got to invest in these leaders on this end and this leader on that end, right? The whole idea of the triple threat leader, however, is someone that can manage all three of these things. It might have a competency in experience, if you will, in one of these three areas. And candidly, I don't care which one.
If someone's got a more holistic view and can help the organization get from the idea to the full value of the idea on the other end, that's the key. But if we can figure out how to blur these borders, the challenge of now justifying three roles to a senior leader is going to be reduced because it's going to be, we're going to manage an initiative versus just the project. And we can go through the business analysis and we can go through the project management and we can go through the change management.
And you're going to have the people that are working on the project participating in that exercise, using their strengths, using their preferences, using their skills to help that idea ultimately come to fruition on the other end of the continuum.
