Adaptive Project Leadership
(upbeat music) - The pace of change can seem really overwhelming. In fact, we're all adapting all the time. Things that worked for me yesterday aren't really working for me anymore. So I need to be ready to change and in fact, I need to be ready to lead my teams through change. I'm Kelley O'Connell and I'm a LinkedIn Learning instructor on a course called Adaptive Project Leadership. It's all about teaching you how to prepare yourself for change, as well as getting your teams ready for the same thing. So a quick tip I'd give you is, first step, shift from being problem-focused to being solution-focused. And what I mean by that is really stop thinking about the problem and what went wrong. Instead, imagine your ideal experience, what really would have been perfect. From there, you can innovate your way into that perfect experience. And for your team, you really need to take the time to empower them. Understand really what you can do to enable them to make more decisions without you as their leader being involved. When you do that, you're giving them the freedom and flexibility to innovate right along with you. So if you're interested in learning more, check out my course on Adaptive Project Leadership.
