The 7, 8, and 9 keys

The 7, 8, and 9 keys

- The seven, eight, and nine keys are located in the row directly above the home row and also include either a plus or a minus key in the right most column depending of the manufacturer of the keypad. To type the seven key, I can simply lift my index finger from its home row position on the four key and move it directly up to strike the seven key. The same goes for the eight key and my middle finger. I lift my middle finger from the five key and strike the eight key directly above it. Always remembering to bring each finger back to its home row key. The nine key is typed by lifting my ring finger from the six key and moving it upwards to the nine key. Often times, the key just to the right of the nine key is a key that occupies multiple rows on the keypad including the key to the right of the six key.
