A universal truth about people who make video is that they love gadgets, all of those pieces of gear it takes to do a good job. In this movie, I'm going to tell you what I think you should have to get started. Whatever your type of production, one thing you have to have is a camera. Yours might be a webcam that's built in or attached to a computer, or it might be a small palm-sized video camera. I refer to mine as my dad cam. It might even be the video camera that's built into your smartphone or tablet. This course is designed for small consumer video cameras, but lighting philosophy is the same for all levels of production. I'm going to assume that you are shooting on a tight budget, but you know you need to do something to make your videos look better while spending as little as possible.
