- One way to shorten a proposal…and to make it more understandable in the process…is to use graphics.…Most of us would rather look at a picture…than read page after page of unbroken text or numbers.…So visuals shorten the body portion of the proposal…and are intended to make the information…easier to comprehend.…But visuals don't replace a discussion,…they supplement it.…So be sure that all the backup support information,…how you determine those figures for example,…is readily available.…
So experts say a proposal can't have too many visuals,…other say too many visuals can overload the proposal.…Just be certain to analyze the need for each visual.…If it adds to or clarifies important information,…the reader will gain from it, then include it.…If you do decide it adds to the proposal's effectiveness…then explain every visual's purpose…and let the reader know that a visual is available.…Visual elements come in a variety of categories.…The typical ones include Flowcharts,…Tables, Diagram, Pictures, perhaps of your product,…
