- Question after question after question to potentially answer. Here's a questions for you. In preparing your proposal, do you really need to give complete, specific answers? And the answer is yes. So you ask, "Why can't I just give a general overview "and then meet with the potential client "and sell my idea in person "and answer all the questions then? "Or let the company tell me they like my idea "before I waste hours of my valuable time "on something that might get rejected?" The answer is, actually there are situations that a preliminary proposal is requested, and in that case you would give those specific answers in a final proposal.
