For example, in 2008, he began working at One Network Enterprises, a company formed by his former colleagues; he worked as a Java developer on custom projects for the United States Marine Corps and lent his user experience and design expertise to the company's initiatives and open-source offerings. The OIS-MC development team was awarded the prestigious Department of the Navy (DON) IM/IT Excellence Award in 2010.
