In this chapter, we'll take a look at the bundled CINEMA 4D Lite software that ships with After Effects CC and above. This version of CINEMA 4D doesn't have the full power of the broadcast or studio editions. But it can be very handy, and can easily be used, in order to extrude type and some vector files as well. In order to work with it, there are a couple of preparation steps we need to accomplish. And this is what I'm going to show you in this movie. So we are starting at the same point. I've opened up scene ware number one, which is another version of our Base Comp composition, that hosts couple of vector layers. Those are the illustrator vector files. As well as two layers of text, a common animation that is being driven by the orbit null and three lights. Now, we are mostly concerned about those two layers which I've labeled in the cyan color. The explode and the boom text. These are the layers that we need to extrude, and try to closely match it to the boom design PSD style…
