Connecting through nulls

We now need to connect the expression of the explode layer to the element 3D objects group in order to mimic the original animation that we have in this composition. I've saved my progress and I'm going to select the element 3D layer over here. Now, just so you'll see what I mean, I'm going to turn on the eye for the explode layer and solo it. I'm also going to press double E, after I will select it in the timeline, in order to see the expression. So this is what we need to copy. We need to make sure that this spring animation. For the scale values is going to be applied to all the elements that we have over here. So, the way to do it is actually to create three nulls for each one of the element 3D groups and then connect them and actually parent them to this layer. I'm just going to turn off the eye for this one. And reselect the element 3D. Make sure to go to the Effect panels. And then I need to open up each one of the groups. And under the Group Utilities, you can create a Group…
