Bootstrap has a lot of small, but very useful utility classes. They've been re-hauled in this new version and because they're so common in traditional layouts. This includes: hidden and visible classes deleted, removed .pull-left and .pull-right. We have spacing classes that we can use to add spacing to elements as well.
- [Voiceover] Bootstrap has a lot of small, but very useful,…Utility Classes.…Now, they've been completely re-hauled…in this new version, and because they're so common…when working with traditional layouts,…I wanted to touch base on how they've changed.…Now, one of the big changes is that a lot…of the visibility classes have been removed,…so things like .hidden-xs, and .visible-sm,…and all the other classes you see here…are totally gone.…If you have any of those in layouts,…you'll be upgrading, they're gonna have to be removed.…
Now, they've been replaced by a much simpler system.…Everything is now either hidden,…and then a size, and then up or down.…And what'll happen is that anything that you specified…as having these hidden classes will be hidden…from that point, either up or down.…So, there's really no way of making something visible.…Essentially, if you want to make something visible,…you end up not hiding it.…So, let's go ahead and take a look at what that looks like…in a practical way.…So, I've got this layout right here.…
