Importing photos from your computer

Let's see how to bring photos into BookSmart from your computer for use in a book. In this movie, we'll work on the Valley of Longing book that we started building in the last movie. BookSmart automatically saves a book as you work on it--one of my favorite features. Throughout this chapter, to open the book in progress with changes you made to it in the preceding movies, you can go up to the File menu in BookSmart and choose Open and navigate to the book Valley of Longing in this list and then click Open. Or, if you're on the initial screen of BookSmart you'll see an icon for that book there and you can click the icon.

Here in BookSmart on the left side of the interface is the My Photos library. It displays thumbnails of all the photos that I brought into the book already. These were brought in from the BookSmart wizard in the last movie and autoflowed onto some of the pages in the book, as you can see down here in the filmstrip of book pages.
