PDF files can be very large documents, especially when they consist of hundreds or pages of large format sheets like a set of construction drawings. In this video Jim demonstrates how to reduce the size of the PDF file in order to make it easier to store, share, and email.
- [Jim] You're watching Bluebeam Tips and Tricks, … I'm Jim Rogers and in this episode, … I have a quick tip for you about how to reduce … the size of your PDF files. … Now this can be helpful when you have … a large set of construction documents … that results in a very large PDF file … and you need to share it with somebody … or, in particular, if you need to email it to somebody, … it can be helpful to reduce the file size. … Let's take a look at how to do that … with our sample set of construction drawings here. … We'll go up to the Document menu at the top of the screen … and we'll scroll all the way down to Reduce File Size. … When we click on Reduce File Size, … we have a dialog box that pops up … that gives us a few options. … It shows us the currently open set of drawings … and it shows us what size that set of drawings is right now. … I can add more drawings that aren't open … by clicking here and click Add Files or Add Folders. … In this case, I just want to reduce the size of the file …
