- Welcome back, I'm Jim Rogers and in this week's episode, I'm gonna wrap up, for now, my ongoing discussion on productivity improvement in the construction industry. In previous episodes, I've covered a lot of ground. I've discussed using alternative project delivery methods to reduce the design phase of a project and how that can also have a positive impact on reducing delays during construction. I talked about the issues we face during construction that have a negative impact on the overall project delivery time and I talked about issues that affect actual productivity at the work phase. I also introduced the concept of adopting an entirely new theory of production in our construction industry and I stated that I think that the lean theory of productivity might be the answer to our dismal gains in productivity over the years.
