This course is aimed at building up your Blue Prism skills, specifically for Excel automation. This will be achieved by automating a report consolidation process, which will generate a consolidated monthly report for each account provided. The consolidated report will consist of four main steps. The first part of the process will look into loading the queue with all accounts required for the consolidated report. This will be followed up by creating a monthly report for the account currently being processed. The information from each of the weekly reports will be then extracted only for a specific account. This part of the process will be performed until all relevant data has been extracted from each of the weekly files. The data will be consolidated into one report per account, which will also have a Summary tab for the results. The Summary tab will give you an overview of the total amount for each of the general ledger accounts or also known as GL accounts. The process will be performed until all accounts have been processed. Make sure you download the exercise files prior to starting with the further chapters. There are three folders which come with the exercise files, Monthly Report, To Import, and Weekly Reports folder. Monthly Reports folder will be used to store all newly created reports. The To Import folder contains the create consolidated report Blue Prism process. And the Weekly Reports folder has all reports containing information about each of the accounts. That's all we need in order to start with the Excel automation with Blue Prism.
