Create and monitor a queue
- [Instructor] The majority of business processes require work queue, which will enable us to manage the workload for the robots in an easier manner. In Blue Prism, queues are created from the system tab of the main menu. Queues can be found on the workflow and work queues. You can always create new queues using the new button, or delete existing queues using the delete. As this is the first queue, we're just going to rename Queue 1 to Orders Queries, which is something more relevant to our process. Key Name should be a unique identifier which is associated with the queue item. Based on the Excel input we will use later on to load the queue, the Key Name is Order Number. In order to apply the changes, we click on apply. After the queue is created, we can move to control room under Queue Management, and we can see the Orders Queries queue has already been created.
