Excel automation in Blue Prism
- Microsoft Excel is one of the most commonly used business applications in the world. It is primarily used for tasks, like recording and data manipulation, and many other applications use Excel formats to upload data. Using robotic process automation to streamline Excel processes can greatly improve efficiency and accuracy. Blue Prism utilizes Excel's extensive API functionality and comes with a Microsoft Excel video ready to use, so you can quickly and easily get started with automating your processes. In this course, I'll demonstrate some of the main components of Excel automation in Blue Prism and discuss best practices. I'll show you how to create an end-to-end process to generate a consolidated Excel report that extracts data from multiple other sources. And we'll look at global and environment variables, filtering collections, writing data back to Excel, and other key VBO functionalities.
