- [Narrator] Up until now, we created a few components within Blue Prism, which are used to perform specific functionality across the Airtable application. This is great, but in the same time, we need to make sure we pass the data associated with these elements across the layers within Blue Prism without actually hard coding any of the values. For this purpose, we use data items. The easiest way to describe data items is as containers which hold the data. There are two elements within Blue Prism which can be used for this purpose: Data Items and Collections. The difference between the two is that a Data Item can hold one value at a time, while Collections are arrays of data. Starting with Data Items, they can hold any type of data. Text, which can hold any alpha-numeric values. Numbers, Date, used to record time within the year, and the default format is day, month, and year.
