Welcome

- Hi, I'm David Andrade, and welcome to my blender course on animating a character. In this course, we will explore the magic of character animation by combining the techniques of acting and video reference, which is why I'm on set. We will use a free animation software blender to bring life to our character, Arthur, by combining the principles of animation with a solid work flow to get the work done. First, we will explore the initial process of character animation, planning, and video reference. Next, we begin the meat and potatoes of the animation process. We will explore specific techniques for animating Arthur's body, face, and arms. Finally, we will explore how to make your scene pretty, with a basic overview of lighting and render settings to make your character pop. Plus, we'll explain a little bit about the post production and assembly of the final movie. - [Voiceover] I'd like to see you try! You wouldn't last one day! - Dude, I service society by rocking, okay? I'm out there on the front lines liberating people with my music. Rockin ain't no walk in the park, lady! - This course assumes you know basic knowledge of computer graphic concepts and have a working knowledge of blender. Ideally, you've watched a blender essential training course taught by George Maestri. I love inspiring new animators and I can't wait to see what you come up with! Let's get animated.
