- [David] Continuing our trend of making hair and fur in Blender's Tips, Tricks, and Techniques. This week we'll be wrapping up by covering the hair shader inside of Blender. Let me show you. First, let's go ahead and switch the cycles, hit X, shift A, let's add a monkey. Generate UVs, that'll be handy. Smooth, open this up over here, subdivision surfaces, cool. Now that we have this going on we're going to need some form of hair so let's just do space bar quick fur. Let's make it super heavy. And unlike last week where we went ahead and painted out some density this week we're just going to leave it on and we're going to explore the fur material here by opening this up, hitting T, over here, going to node editor, hitting N, getting rid of this and hitting shift A, hair. BSDF, there you go. Now hair BSDF actually works in two parts. So you're going to want to go ahead and duplicate it. The first is reflection. That is all the light color that goes back to the camera.
