- [David] Did you know that in Blender you can have image textures on your object even though you haven't unwrapped them? How do you do it? Well, I'm going to show you in this weeks Blender's Tips, Tricks, and Techniques. First, let's switch to Cycles Render. Next, let's delete this cube and add a monkey. Let's go to shading, and then hit T to hide this for now. Let's bring this out over here. Go to modifiers, and go to subdivision surface. Now, we need to add a texture to this monkey, so let's pull this out over here, and let's go to node editor. Hit N to hide this. And we're going to click on new. If you don't see it, you can just pull this out a little bit more. Click on new material. And we're going to add a few nodes here. So Shift + A. Search for texture coordinate, mapping, and then finally image texture. Here we go. So you can hit B. Draw a box. G, move them over a little bit. Let's click on this one, move it up.
