- To set up the materials for the rest of the chair let's switch over to a new screen layout here. How about Compositing. And in our compositing layout let's maybe change this down here to the 3D view so we can see in our room. And this one is all right for our camera view. We can even change the display type to rendered and when we do that we can see that there's not much light in the room. As we set up our textures and materials it would be really helpful if we had light in the room so we can see how they're going to look. One fun way I think to add a light into the scene here using the cycle's render engine is to create a polygon plane and turn that into a light. To do that here I'll switch back over to the default view. And I'll go ahead and create a polygon plane, move it to the side. I'll rotate it so it's gonna be pointing down into the scene through the window. Now one of the great things about using the cycle's render engine is that we can come in here and create a new…
