Quick mesh cleanup with Dissolve

- [David] Have you ever modeled for a couple of hours, only to stop and take a look at your mesh and go "Oh no!" You've got n-gons, vertex poles, and bad topology all throughout your mesh. Issues like these can add up to bad performance, bad smoothing, and bad rendering when sent to game inches. So what are you to do? Well in today's Blender: Tips, Tricks, & Techniques I'm going to show you different ways of cleaning up this mesh inside a blender. First, let's start with a monkey so X Delete, Shift C to center. Let's Shift A and add a monkey. S to scale. Now let's hit tab and let's go over to this ear. I'm going to hit A and then B, randomly select part of the ear. You can grow the selection by going to Select More, Control Pad, W let's subdivide this little guy, and then let's come up to the top of the head here and let's select C all of these vertices right here. You can hit Enter, Space Bar, Merge. And let's go to center. And without doing much else we can hit tab, shading smooth…
