Poly building for precise remeshing

- [Instructor] Poly Building is the manual process of placing vertices, edges and faces on a surface to create a lower polygonal version of that object. This method, although tedious is often the preferred way of working by professionals on challenging things like characters because it allows you to define the edge flow, which is really important when it comes to animation. Let me show you. It helps to have something interesting, especially something that'll bend, so lets go ahead in Sculpt mode and use my favorite tool, the Snake Hook. I'm going to set the strength up to two. Turn on Dyntopo and set it to say, six. There we go, now I'm just going to drag an area where there would be an arm. So I'm going to hit F to get a nice big tool here and just drag out. There we go, have ourselves an arm. Kind of a weird little creature, but this'll work for our purposes. Now, come back out of Sculpt Mode into Object Mode.…
