Pointiness in cycles

- [Instructor] This week, we're going to explore an interesting Node attribute that you may not have heard of: pointiness. It's a way of Cycles telling you what sections of your mesh are pointy, and which are not. Let me show you. First, let's start by deleting this cube, and this lamp, switch to Cycles, and let's hit shift a, mesh monkey, scale him up a little bit, shift a, lamp, sun. Let's bring up the sun a little bit, and rotate it. There we go. Middle mouse drag, and let's pick a strength of two, under sun attributes. All right, let's click on this monkey again, and go to edit mode, click on faces, and then go to extrude individual. Now the moment you do this, things might explode, like this. Don't worry. Just get closer to where your little 3D cursor is, or, if you want, just, with your keyboard, type 0.25, and then hit enter. There you go.
