One simple trick to rendering faster

- [Instructor] Out of the box, Blender 2.8 can be up to 30% faster to render with. But did you know that there's one itty bitty bitty tiny trick that you can do to make your renders even faster? It's called tile size. Now first, come over to Edit, go to Preferences, System, and if you have any options up here for CUDA or OpenCL, make sure you have them checked on. Now close out of here, and let's go to Render Settings and switch it to Cycles, scroll down to Performance, and you'll see Tile Size. Now in the olden days of rendering, you would set this up to 256 by 256, because you're rendering with a GPU, so let's do that. GPU Compute, 256 by 256. Now let's go ahead and just hit render. Okay great. Now we've gone ahead and rendered a cube. So let's hit two on our keyboard, minimize this, come back to Tiles, and type in 32 by 32. Yes, I know, I'm crazy.
