Join George Maestri for an in-depth discussion in this video Modeling the knock-off bolt, part of Vehicle Modeling in Blender.
Now we have one more thing to model on the…wheel, and that's the knock-off bolt at the front.…So I'm going to just show you the basics of how…to model that, and let's go ahead and actually…position our wheel.…So I'm going to go ahead and select all of these…objects, and let's go ahead and turn on our…side and our front view, make sure that…we're in texture mode here, and let's postion…this wheel where it needs to be.…So I'm going to go ahead and position it along…the side view, right about there, and then I'll…also position it from the front.…
So now I've got my wheel in place, but you can see…I've got this little knock-off bolt here that…I need to create.…So I'm going to go ahead and actually select…these, and actually I'm going to go ahead and hide all…of these, so I'm going to hide my rim, my spokes,…and my tire as well as my hub.…And right here is what I need to model.…In fact I also have my empty object here,…so I'm going to go ahead and delete that,…I don't need it.…And so what we need to do is create a cylinder…
