- [Instructor] Modeling is such a giant topic that we could spend multiple courses on it. For our purposes however, we're going to talk about the model pipeline between multiple software packages, by looking at just one special format. It's called FBX. To find it, you're going to want to go to file, export, in this case selection. And then click down here, and look for FBX export. Now, I'm going to reset the settings here really quick, so you can kind of see the general idea of FBX works. It's the Autodesk standard between all of its packages like MotionBuilder, Max, and Maya. There is a MotionBuilder-specific version however, which will give you a few enhancements for motion capture data. For our purposes, we're just going to use media and entertainment, and look at two important options. The first, units. Depending what program you're going to, units will play a huge factor.
