[David]- In this weeks Blenders tips, tricks and techniques we're going to go over one of the simplest add-on's out there. Import Images as Planes. Now, you're probably wondering why do I need to do this? Well, if you're modeling a character or vehicle you probably want to import some images to serve as reference imagery in the background. Now, you can just import in, measure it, size it correctly then create the node, have the texture there and you know what, that takes a lot of work. Or you can use this really simple add-on and just do it quickly. So lets go ahead and delete this cube. Let's switch to cycles. And we don't need the lamp for now so let's get rid of it. And let's go to file, import images as planes. Now, we don't include any exercise files with tips, tricks and techniques so I recommend you just go grab a couple of free images from the internet.
