- Blender 292 is here and it has a whole bunch of great stuff in it. Over the next few weeks, I want to talk about some of my favorite updates and it starts with the biggest change Blender has had in the 290 series. The introduction of geometry nodes. Let me show you. Now you may be used to using nodes for say, the compositor or the material editor, but now if you go to modifiers and click add modifier, you'll see a new modifier called geometry nodes. From here. You're going to want to pull up this little window and click on your clock and go to geometry node editor. Now you can zoom in here if your middle mouse wheel and take a look at that. We have a very similar looking editor to all of your other note editors with your view, select node and most importantly, add menu bar. The shortcut is the same too. It's shift A. From here you can add a whole bunch of different kinds of nodes. So let's go ahead and go to…
