Groups are now collections

- [Instructor] Collections, collections, collections, collections. What are collections? In Blender 2.8, they combined the concepts of groups and layers and all of this into one big thing called the collection. Now at first, honestly, it's going to be really confusing. But with a little bit of practice, collections are actually not so bad. The biggest thing to think about a collection is that it's simply a group. And so, when I come up here, you'll see that I have a scene collection, a scene group, and then a whole bunch of collections underneath it. And I can just disable that collection or I can hide it from visibility. So that is, in a nutshell, simply what a collection is. If I hit Shift + A, I can make a monkey, move the monkey over here, and then hit M, make a brand new collection. For you Blender 2.79 people, M used to be Move to Layer. That is now considered a new collection. So new collection, let's just call it monkey, and then go to OK. So now I have a monkey collection…
