- Hello, Blender's Tips, Tricks and Techniques. This week we're going to take a look at Eevee's volumes, and some of the problems you'll run into using them and how to mitigate them. Let's take a look by making a simple volume. First I want to scale up this cube, so click on it, hit S and then maybe G, so it envelops the light a little bit. Then I'm going to drag this open here, click on my beach ball, also know as material tab, come over to surface, you might have to scroll, look for remove, open volume, click on volume, you might have to scroll, and look for principled volume, not principled BSDF, but principled volume. And that's it, now you can either hit Z to go into rendered mode, or you can click on this render button up here, come to my render settings, open up volumetrics, and here are all the settings to control this awesome looking volume.
