- [Instructor] Sometimes in a scene, you're going to need an army of objects, all neatly ordered. Well, don't be caught doing it by hand. Blender has a neat trick for letting you grow your army quickly. First, I want to delete this cube. Then, I want to set my render to cycles, I'm going to hit Shift + C to center my scene, and Shift + A to add a plane. Let's pull this out a little bit, and let's add a couple of array modifiers. I'm going to say 10 here, and I'm going to set it by two. I'm going to copy the array modifier, I'm going to hit this zero, and this to two, and there we go. We now have a large army of flat planes. Center my scene again by hitting Shift + C, Shift + A, and let's add a monkey. Now if I zoom into this monkey, I'm going to make the monkey a child of the planes.
