Creating temporary lighting

With our background in place and our renderer turned on, we can add some diffuse lighting to give us a nice soft lighting to use to define our materials. So again, I'm just going to create a simple plane. And we're going to add a material to that. So first thing I want to do is rotate it so it's vertical. Scale it up a little bit. I'm going to make this a little bit of a taller light here. And now this isn't going to be the absolute final light that we're going to use. We may actually delete this. I'm creating this setup just so we can see how the materials look under a basic lighting setup. So, I'm going to take this basic plane. I'm going to create a new material fort. And we're going to create this as an emission. Which means it turns it into a light under the cycles render. So, if we want, we can turn on our rendered image here. We go over to our renderer here we want to make sure that we're on GPU which will be a lot faster. And then we can turn up our emission. So I'm turning up…
