- [Instructor] For many of us, growing up with compositing meant using programs like After Effects. And while I love that program, Blender offers a surprisingly similar array of tools, much like After Effects. And in this week's Blender's Tips, Tricks, and Techniques, we're going to look at one of those nodes that it offers, the glare node. Now, to start, let's make sure that we have Node Wrangler turned on. So file, user preferences, Node Wrangler. Make sure it's checked on if it isn't. Just check it on, and click on save user settings. Let's go to Cycles. Let's get rid of this cube. Shift c. Let's get rid of this lamp. Shift a. Let's add ourselves a monkey. Shift a, a plane. Scale this plane up a bunch, and let's shift a. Let's add another monkey into the distance. You can do this by hitting g, and then shift z, or zed, to get that x-y movement. Let's go ahead and add a material to these monkeys. I'm going to go with just a normal diffuse, but I'm going to pick something kind of…
