- To create the cushions for our eames chair we can employ a similar method as we used for the base here. We could take, say, let's begin with the footrest here. And what I'd like to do is simply using the Circle Select tool, select these inside faces, and before I do that I think I'll turn off the Subdivision Surface Modifier for a moment. Now what I'd like to do is duplicate this, and then separate it out the way we did before with the fireplace. So I'll press Shift D to duplicate it. So now if I go back to Object mode, we can see that I've got my original object, or the foot rest, and then the footrest 001 which is the plane I just separated out. Now to get the thickness of the cushion lets go ahead and add a Solidify modifier to it. And I'm just going to click and drag in this thickness field and see if we can get a thickness about up to here, perhaps. Now I'm gonna go ahead and turn the Subdivision Surface Modifier back on for both of these objects. Now that we have the thickness…
