Connecting scenes: Linking
- [Instructor] Blender has a robust system of connecting scenes together. In this video, I'm going to show you how to do one of them through linking. If you come up here and go to File, you can actually see two options, Link and Append. Now, linking is when you connect one scene to another and it'll maintain a dynamic link. For example, if you had scene A and B, any changes that you did to A will automatically update in B. Appending, however, acts more like a copy and paste. You would copy effectively scene A into B and so any changes you do inside of A won't happen in B. You'll have to recreate those by hands. There's advantages to both. But for now, we're going to focus on linking. Now, let's make a scene really quick. Let's go ahead and hit A to select everything, X to delete, Shift + A and let's make a plane. Scale it up. Shift + A again and let's add a cone. It'll be kind of interesting. G + Z to move 'em up.…
