- [Darren] Hi, I'm Darrin Lile, a Blender Foundation Certified Trainer, and welcome to "Scene Creation with Blender and Substance Painter." In this course, we will use Blender's modeling tools to create the rooms of this coworking space, creating the walls doors and window frames. We will then model the furniture and appliances using Blender's hard surface modeling tools and modifiers. And you'll also learn how to UV map your objects, making sure to avoid stretching and unwanted seams. When the modeling is complete, you'll learn how to prepare those models for export creating a color ID map, and using the FBX file format. We'll then bring the files into Substance Painter, bake the texture maps and apply realistic textures, and materials to our models. You'll learn how to create an export template specifically for use with Blender, which will allow you to export color, normal, metallic and roughness maps, as well as emissive and opacity maps, that can be used in Blender. In the end, we will light and render the scene using both Blender's Cycle's engine, as well as the new Eevee renderer. You'll see the differences and the benefits of each render engine. So if you're interested in creating a scene, that can be used for animation, architectural visualization, or even games, then check out this comprehensive course, "Scene Creation with Blender and Substance Painter.
