- Well now that we have the room done, we can begin to look at creating the furniture to go in the room. To begin with, let's take a look at this eames chair. The eames chair is just wonderfully designed. It's created from just a few simple pieces. So this footstool, or ottoman is really the basis of everything else. So we can create this wood piece, the base of the ottoman here, and from that one piece we can duplicate it to create the seat, and also the lumbar support and the headrest. Likewise, we can also create this one cushion, and then duplicate that to create all the other cushions. So it's a wonderfully designed piece of furniture that makes modeling it a lot of fun. So let's work on that. First of all, I'm gonna switch over to a new layer here so we aren't distracted by everything else in our scene. And for objects like this, I like to begin with a polygon plane, get the basic design or shape done using the plane, and then add thickness to it after that. So here, let's take…
