Adjusting the weight painting of the mesh to the bones

In this lesson I'm going to adjust the weight painting to make sure that the mesh deforms to the bones in the way that we intend. One of the first things is that if we, for example, since these bones do not have controllers, themselves, we could choose to hide them in order to be able to not have to see them. However, we want them visible at least for the time being because we're going to select them in changing our weight painting. However, for example, these bones down here are not affected by any weight painting and so if we wanted to, those could be hidden. The way to do that is to go to the bone panel and in the same place where we would select to display a custom shape, you would simply select Hide and then just do those one by one, like so. For weight painting, the thing we want to do is we want to take, for example, this controller and let's move it up a little. As you can see, when I move it like this we're getting deformation in that hip and we might not intend that it move…
