Adding new menu items

Your institution pre-populates your Course Menu with a default set of tools and links. In the last movie, we showed you how to rename, move, and even delete those menu items. But, can you add new menu items? Of course. This is your course site, customize it to do what you want it to do. To add a new item to your course menu, make sure Edit mode is on and then click or hover over the plus sign in the top left corner of the course menu. Choose what you want to add. I'll choose a Content Area. Key in a name for it. I'll call it information since we deleted it last time. Choose whether or not your students will ever be able to see it, yes, and then click Submit. Its shows up at the very bottom of the Course Menu, drag it to where you want it to go. So, you have a bunch of different options here, what you want to add to your course. You can add a content area. This is a top level folder that contains all of your course materials. And you could actually have multiple content areas. You…
