Recording MIDI as clips
- [Instructor] All right, so we've recorded MIDI into the timeline, which uses actual normal forward marching time that we humans tend to experience. What if we want to record things onto sort of a scratch pad or have different clips and elements that we can use for performance to sort of remix on the fly? Well, if we click over here we can see that we have the clip launcher, okay. The clip launcher is a sort of timeless, well it has internal time with each clip, but it's not subject to sort of an arrange a forward marching timeline for the entire piece. So for example, if I just want to record some clips I can hit record here, and it'll record just into a scene. Okay? Let's do that one more time. And I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to hit record and let's make sure that I'm in the right place for this particular drum kit. Okay, all right, great. So I can be ready to go that way or I can just hit record right on…
