Before we actually start using Behance, you might be asking yourself, well what exactly is Behance anyway? Well in simple terms, Behance is a social network designed to connect creative professionals from all walks of life. The idea around Behance is that you're sharing your work with other people from all over the globe, you could just be sharing your ideas for review, collaborating with clients or coworkers, or simply using the system to get new ideas by following other creatives from around the world. Behance is also heavily tied into Adobe's Creative Cloud service which makes it easy for you to share work directly from within apps like Photoshop and Illustrator to get feedback along the way.
Above all else Behance is a community. And there's a huge opportunity for you as a designer to leverage this community to your advantage, not only do crowdsource feedback on your work, but also to find and collaborate with clients as well. The value of Behance will depend on your commitment to it and how you choose to use it. The more you put in, the more you'll get back. Plain and simple.
