Cell editing in the Setup tab

- Let's jump right into the Setup tab. I'm gonna load my Scotty Kit again. Go to Setup. We'll start with the Velocity Curve under MIDI Input. This allows you to adjust how your Cell responds to MIDI Velocity data. It defaults to Linear which means that if I hit a key soft then it'll play quietly. (quiet drumbeat) If I hit it somewhere in the middle, it'll play medium loud. (medium drum beat) And if I hit it as hard as I can it will play at full volume. (loud drum beat) Now if I start to change this to a more Logarithmic-type curve the notes that are hit at a medium Velocity will still sound quiet and the harder notes will still play loudly. (loud to quiet drum beat) You'll definitely have to play around with this to get a feel for how it works. Next, let's get into Voice Grouping. This is a very important feature to know and understand.
