Creating hot areas

In this video, we're going to take a look at adding a hot area which is essentially an invisible area that can be linked. Now there are probably very few cases at this point where you would need to use it, but it's a useful thing to know about. The reason you're not going to have to use it very often is that so many of the symbols available in Balsamiq have linked properties, so we of course added links to the menu here. If I select this image here, you can see that in the heads up display, I can add a link there. We could link to our tours document there, we could link to web address. If I select the search field, we can also add a link to that. But you may be using a symbol from the mock-ups to go library or you may be using a complex symbol that has sub-symbols or an image that you only want to have part of it linking somewhere or maybe you have multiple links within an image. So in that case, you're going to create this invisible hit area. So let's just do it over the text and…
