- [Instructor] What if you're viewing a 2D version of a design and you'd like to see the area you're looking at in 3D? That's where the Place Me tool comes in. Let's take a look. I'm going to go in to the Madison.rvt file and one thing I'll point out is that we also have 2D views here as well as 3D views. We've been doing a lot of our work in 3D view but you may have noticed this 2D tab here. I'm going to scroll down to the first floor plan, click on that and we'll take a look. And for some people, this is just the way they like to look at the drawing information is in plan view, or more of a drawing style of view. Now as I'm maybe panning around and looking at this drawing, I may be curious to get a better look at these stairs. I can see them here in the drawing but I really want to get a feeling for what they look like in the room. I click the Place Me tool, I click a spot in the model and I choose the direction that…
