- [Instructor] Wouldn't it be great if you could work with BIM 360 files right from your Windows desktop? That's what Autodesk Desktop Connector is all about. Let's take a look. Autodesk Desktop Connector is a small application that you can install on your Windows device. Here's the location where you can download the Desktop Connector. Now the way it works, is that Desktop Connector creates a virtual drive representing the files and folders that you have access to in BIM 360. Here's a look at that virtual drive in Windows Explorer. When I click on BIM 360, I see all of the accounts that I've hosted or been invited to, and when I drill down into one of those accounts, I see the projects that I've either hosted or been invited to.
