- [Instructor] We are beginning a new chapter on markups so let's talk about markups for just a little bit. One of the great things about the collaborative environment of BIM 360 is that it becomes a platform for discussion and review. Markups are a great way for one team member to express to the others what needs to be changed. Traditionally this was done with pencil and paper, meaning the drawings would have to be printed and then marked up and then handed to a designer, architect, or engineer to address the markups. Or possibly scanned and emailed to one of the recipients of these markups. In more modern companies markups may be done digitally but it still requires that markups be printed to PDF, marked up with a third party tool, and then emailed to the team members to address the markups. Both of these methods require multiple tools and media. Printers, paper, pencils, scanning, email, third party digital markup…
