What you should know

- [Instructor] Taking any course makes assumptions about what you should know and this course is no different. To get the most out of this course, here are some things that you would probably want to be familiar with. First of all, you should be familiar with Azure DevOps, the repos and coding practices and how to work with the basics of pipelines. We're going to be exploring YAML pipelines, so a little familiarity with the classic pipelines wouldn't hurt. It also will help to do a little bit of scripting, familiarity with PowerShell or Bash. You should also have access to a Azure DevOps account, and if someone can create a project for you, all the better. Finally, I'm going to be doing some coding and we're going to be deploying our examples into Azure. So having a good basic understanding of Azure and what application services are doesn't hurt. And having an Azure subscription to deploy to, well that's another things that would be nice. Finally, I'm going to be doing a couple of code examples. I'm going to be using Visual Studio. And I'm going to be using ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core. If you're familiar with that, great. If you aren't, if you haven't seen it before, it's just going to be showing where the code is. But we should be doing most of the work inside of the DevOps Portal. So that's what you should know.
