What you need to know

- [Instructor] Before jumping into this course there are a few things that you need to know. First, we will be focusing in on Windows Servers. That's not to say that you cannot use the solutions that we're going to demonstrate for Linux machines or physical servers. Demonstrations that require a virtual machine will either be done in Assure or using Hyper-V or a combination of the two. System center operation manager, or SCOM, VMware and AWS are not covered in this course. And just like some of the home improvement shows, where they have a disclaimer that states some safety guards have been removed for demonstration, the same applies here. In some cases, best practices are not being met for demonstration purposes only. As always, I highly recommend that you use Microsoft best practices. And always refer to the current Azure documentation as Microsoft is always enhancing and making improvements to Azure. Some of the steps that you see in this course may change over time. And with that, let's jump into Azure Disaster Recovery Solutions.
