- [Instructor] Let's see some more examples where PowerShell skills are indispensable within an organization. We'll cover what isn't possible with a GUI, and can only be performed using PowerShell. Some systems, for example, are built on the Windows Server Core, and do not have a GUI, and you're only presented with PowerShell or the command line. Even on a standard server version, you'll find that the GUI is an optional installable component. In many environments, such Microsoft Exchange Server, the only way you can perform a task will be by using PowerShell commandlets. And finally, a system architect would prefer not to install a GUI, as this not only reduces the server's attack surface, making it less vulnerable, it also consumes resources on the device.
